NOTES/LOG:
= I found the couple Lorenz Sield and Barbara Weismann and their four children. Also a marriage of Michael Sidler (son of Lorenz and Barbara) with Anna Maria Hasenzagl and a child of theirs. I checked birth books to 1730 and there was not a single entry of Sidl (Siedler). That means that Lorenz Sidl probably came from another place and settled in Hinterholz. I also didn't find any marriage entries, but will check the books again. (In one book, 8 places are unfortunately illegible, so I'll check all places).
-- Looked for Siedl marriages in Böheimkirchen from 1784 to 1817 and 1739-1784. No sign of name Siedl or anything like it in the first volume; however did find a Georg, a Mathias, an Andre, a Frantz, and an Andreas Siedler, in the 2nd volume. Apparently no Lorenz, however. Also searched for his birth from 1740-1770 in the birth index and found some Siedl's,but not his name, SRE 9 Sep 2003.
— Checked for this person in indexes for baptism and marriage books 1/2 and 2/2 respectively, of Michelbach parish, which both run from 1722 to 1784. Found nothing, SRE - 10 Sep 2003.

= "I haven't found Barbara Weissman [in Ollersbach] yet. I found 2 families by the name of Weissman, but among the children, no Barbara." -- SRE, 26 Aug 2003.
-- May want to follow both families back in Ollersbach, if possible, while there. Check to see which villages the two Weissman families live in. Then when go to Landesarchiv in a little over 2 weeks, check marriage contracts of both sets of parents and see if a Barbara is mentioned as being one of their children. Possibly we could pick up the line this way, espeically if Barbara belonged to one of those sets of parents, but was just christened in another parish. Because no marriage was found in Ollersbach, though, and because they only have four children, it makes me think it possible that they came from elsewhere altogether, SRE, 26 Aug 2003.
