-- Checked in marriage index 1751-1784, and found only one, md. 1763, v. 11, p. 78. Will pursue this.
-- Did check that marriage. It was the wrong one. I had to look page by page from 1752 back for marriage. Went back through 1736. Found one (probably the parents of Jozef, if anything) in Ťekož, 11 Sep 1736, p. 24 of v. 11 of Radobytce parish records, marriages, and found Václav Kroupa and Anna of Jan Giru/o/š. Probably should search for birth of Jozef first, though this may be quite hard, since there are so many Jozef Kroupa's mentioned, and without a marriage, it may be difficult to determine which is his.
-- Checked for births of Kroupa children from 1748-1751 (1752 in the later vol. also checked) in different town sections of vol. 2, but nothing found, SRE 15 Sep 2003. I never found anything in 1751 or earlier. I didn't even find a division in the book v. 2 of Radobytce for Kožli town. I suspect that the inventory might be wrong, and that 1751 and before is Mirotice. If not there, will bag and go to another area. Radobytce is done, pretty much, however, SRE 15 Sep 2003.
-- Checked Mirotice birth index from 1753 back to 1736. Found one Kraupa in 1737, Václav's birth, but none of ours. Maybe inventory is right. Could look for a birth of Jozef Kroupa around estimated date, but not sure if it would be connectable. Also checked for marriage of Jozef Kroup in Mirotice index from 1760 back to 1731 and found nothing, SRE 15 Sep 2003.
-- If have time at the end of the day, could look page by page for his birth, but this will take time, SRE, 15 Sep 2003.
-- Whoops! In waiting for my Horní Házorí records, I was looking more carefully and discovered Kožli is actually in book, p. 179-191. I had also missed a birth when I quickly checked through. Will get into more thoroughly before begin H. Z., SRE 15 Sep 2003.
-- Found one only, Thomaš in 1751. Found no other kids going back to and including 1743. Looked for this person's birth in that same volume, beginning 1726 and found nothing through1735, in that village, at least. Will check marriages right around 1751 and just before, carefully. Just found one. p. 48 of v. 11, married 23 Nov 1749: "Kožli, d. 23 9bris Potvzený ...Jozef otze Matieg [He's using G's in place of J's ] Kraupy (i.e., Matěj Kraupa), z Kožly Spaytiwau, diewežkau Mariganau Pozustalau vlastnj zerau po + Vogtiechowy Pissžovy z Kožli...". This has to be it. I can't see any other possibility. I'll look a little bit earlier, just to be certain. Our person is Maržena, i.e., Maria. The marriage record says Marigana, i.e., Marianna. It's at the perfect time for them to start having children. Also, of all the other Jozef Kroupa's (I think there are two others) married and having children then, they are married to a Magdalena, Kateřina, and Ludmila, Marie not only being closer, but actually a part of Marianna. I'm calling this one good, and since both families are from Kožli, we are good to go back further in this parish. Did check for other marriages going back from 1752 to 1742, SRE 15 Sep 2003.
-- Now can look for Jozef Kroupa, born to Matěj Kroupa in Kožli. Checked v. 1 in Radobytce from 1719-1726, nothing found yet. There were 4 Kroupa children born in that time period, not ours, born to father, Vít. Checked in v. 2, 1726-1734. Checked in that v. (Kožli only) and didn't find any other Kroupa's having kids besides Vít, who had also stopped by that time. Have to call a dead end for now, SRE 15 Sep 2003.
B Parish records from SOAT.
-- Looked for her birth beginning in Radobytce parish (Kožli town only) v. 2, from 1726-1739, beginning p. 179. Then checked v. 1 from 1718-1725 (entire parish). On 22 May 1725, as I was going backwards, found chr. a Anna, dau. of Vojtěch Pizizka (extremely light and hard to read), and I think Voršila. At least it ends in ...orsiyla., p. 133, left side last entry on page.
Also found other kids:
v. 1
31 Jan 1724 Matěj father Vojtěch Pižižek and Voršila (more clear this time), p. 126.
Another way I've seen it spelt is Pyžyzyk. I'm sure this is correct. The marriage entry says in nom. Pišiž (check owy, and see what it's genitive of). Went back to 1717 and didn't find any more kids (unless I missed something with this weirdly and variously spelled last name). I'll look for a marriage of parents now. If can't find, I'll call it a dead end, SRE 15 Sep. 2003.
-- Another way spelled is Pižyžybovoj. It looks like the "ovy" or "ovi" ending is proper for masculine locative, which that occurrence is, since it is preceded by the preposition "po" -- not super common when showing relationships, but it is there. It looks like we have the right family. I hope I have not incorrectly merged an Anna and a Marie or Marianna. Would it be proper to add an Anna and keep her separate from ours? In any case, the father would be the same (didn't know her mother's name from her marriage, but did know her father's name), and I didn't find anything else that looked possible. I actually have split them up, just to be safe, SRE, 15 Sep 2003.

-- Not able to find her in birth index for Radobytce parish anywhere from 1780-1878. Also checked a birth index from 1752-1794. No Nosek at all, SRE 15 Sep 2003.
RESIDENCE: Zlivice č. 3.
RESIDENCE: Zlivice č. 3 or 23.
LOG/NOTES:
-- Search was done for her marriage in Čížová parish through 1850. Nothing found (not sure which year archivist started - wasn`t mentioned) - Třeboň archive report - 26 May 1999.
-- Death was found, according to the archivist, to the same parents. Birth record shows her born at Zlivice č. 23, but the death shows her having died at Zlivice č. 3. Are these really the same two people? Were they two different people? Since haven`t found another birth record for an Anna, it is plausible that they are the same person. Archivist also said he hadn`t found a death date for ANOTHER Anna (which would indicate a possible re-naming of a second child by the same name) up to 9 Jun 1825. Archivist also checked for birth of another Anna between the years of 1824 and 1835, and couldn`t find one - Třeboň archive report dated 26 May 1999, p. 10.

NOTES/LOG:
-- Study this family out and figure out how to proceed. May well be in Čížová parish, SRE 2 Jan 2003.
!RESIDENCE: Borešnice č. 3.OCCUPATION: Farmer., Sedlák.
-- Not able to find their marriage in marriage index Radobytce parish anywhere from 1780-1878. No Nosek at all, SRE 15 Sep 2003.
-- Checked indexes for marriages for Čížová, from 1763-1800, and found only one Jan Nosek. He was married to a Magdalena Blahá, rather than Dorota Berdychovcová. In our Kateřina's marriage to Josez Ševčik, it mentions her father as Jan Nosek from Borečnice 3. There are kids to Jan Nosek around that time, in Borečnice 3, but the mother is Berdychová. This must be the correct one, even can't find our Kateřina in records of this parish. Kateřina's mother is not mentioned in her marriage. All kids' births listed at Borečnice 3. Bingo!!! I found Kateřina Nosková born in 1789, right where she should have been. She wasn't in the index. No earlier kids in index than what I have added to family. Will check after 1799. Found some more kids. Looked for him in marriage index (i.e., his wife, whose name occurs less commonly), and am going to look for their marriage in Radobytce, so can follow them further back. He probably is from Čížová. There is one in index b. 1757, 20 Jun from Krašovice. Could be the one. One that's even more likely, I suppose, is one born in 1766 from Borečnice, 17 June, p. 166, he is listed also as dying on p. 41. Maybe this isn't him. Checked through 1774, no others. Probably the 1757 one from Krašovice, SRE 16 Sep 2003.
B Parish records from SOAT.
-- She is called Berdychová in her earlier children's records, but in the later ones (6 and 7), she is called Dorota, daughter of Jiři Řehoř. I assume she was previously married to a Berdychov. Children 8's entry, says she is dau. of Jiři Berdychov, and last three entries say she is dau. of Jiři Řehoř again, the last one saying he is deceased. This should be pretty thoroughly figured out. Indexes and arrangement of books is awful around this time. I'm afraid I'm going to have to bag and get back to Čížová. This one definitely could be followed back, though, SRE 16 Sep 2003.

B Parish records at SOAT. Kraj (district, or locality just to the left of Bohmen) possibly Strakonice? (his first wife was from Strakonice). Could he have lived also in Strakonice?
RESIDENCE: Lived at Sedlice # 1 later in life, but could have come from Strakonice, where his wife was from (see her notes - not sure that she actually came from Strakonice).
OCCUPATION: Vrátný (janitor, porter, gate-keeper, or ticket collector); knízecí vrátný (princely v.).
LOG/NOTES:
-- His first marriage not found in Sedlice. Neither was his birth (nor even the surname "Prochaska" within the parish) found around 1737 - 26 May 1999 report from Třeboň archive.
-- Check original way I entered localities on this family from earlier back up. Are they from Strakonice and not Sedlice?
-- Look for other kids from his first wife in Strakonice. Also, check Sedlice marriages a little later for kids who would belong to him from first marriage. It should list their places of origin. This is especially likely, since his first wife died at 26 years old, and we only have record of one child.
LOG/NOTES:
-- Check marriage note. If she is not found in Sedlice parish, check Čížová.
-- In her marriage, her parents weren't actually mentioned. May want to check Sedlice for other Alžběta Velaninová's, just to make sure we have the right person.
RESIDENCE: Sedlice č. 1.
LOG/NOTES:
-- Birth recorded as Feb 1775, whereas death recorded as Jan 1775. They must either both be Feb or Jan. Since archivist messed up, not sure which is correct - Třeboň archive report 26 May 1999.
-- Is death date not correct? This should be verified in the Czech Republic. It was either written incorrectly by the archive or the priest (i.e., it should be January instead of February), or, it is a completely different family. Probably, it was just written incorrectly.
RESIDENCE: Sedlice č. 1.
LOG/NOTES:
-- Was not found in marriage or death records in Sedlice parish up to 1820 - Třeboň archive report 26 May 1999.

B Parish records at SOAT.
LOG/NOTES:
-- Archival report says that years 1716-1721 were searched in Modrá Hůrka and Žimutice for his marriage (at one point Kněžeklady belonged to Modrá Hůrka parish, another time, Žimutice parish), and nothing was found. Deaths were also searched for up to 1740 with negative results: "Po zápisu sňatku Jana Wladyky a Alžběty bylo pátráno v rozmezí let 1716-1721 v zápisech oddanych římskokatolickych farních úřadů Modrá Hůrka a Žimutice výsledek je bohužel v obou případech negativní. Se stejnym výsledkem skončilo i pátrání po zápisech jejich úmrtí po roce 1740" - p. 5 of 9 Apr 1998 report - SRE - 21 Oct 2000.
-- Perhaps Čížová parish should be checked for their deaths. Their son was born in Kněžeklady, Modrá Hůrka parish, but later moved to Šamonice, Čížová parish. It is possible the parents also went there - 21 Oct 2000.
-- Not 100% sure if the Jan who married Alžběta is the one who was born to Tomáš, but there was a birth of a Jan Vladyka at about the proper time, to a Tomáš. The best thing to do would be to find a marriage record. One plus is that both Jan and his children were said to have come "z ovčína Kněžekladského", i.e., from the sheep fold of Kněžeklady, so this narrows it down. Verify this further - 21 Oct 2000.

NOTES/LOG:
-- Her surname is not given in any records we have so far, but names of witnesses of child Jakub`s christening are: Johannes Adam Bübl (from Hůrecká), Zuzana Havranská (Šafářka, not know if this is occupation or place). Names of other witnesses not given, since only a list of children is given, with no extracts. Perhaps should get copies of entries. It is also possible that if all children`s christening entries are looked at, the mother`s actual maiden name could be given.
-- Apparently, the archivist did a search for the marriage record of Jan Vladyka and Alžběta between 1716-1721 in both Modrá Hůrka and Žimutice (which used to be part of Modrá Hůrka parish) parishes. Results were negative. Also, deaths were searched "up to" 1740 ("po roce 1740"). Results negative - Třeboň archival report dated 9 Apr 1996, p. 5.
