B Archive record sub by Clifford Moore, Fam. Rep: Hermmine Anna Kudrna. Par rec., S.A.M. Blaschek 1956. $Kasten books. Where to search for birth? Possibly go to Pyhra?
NOTE:

NOTES/LOG:
-- We have a record of a Johann Hobel from Kallbach, Kasten parish?. He may be related. Peruse more carefully to find out where wife is from - SRE Jul 1994.
-- Research from Martina Gamper, Meidlgasse 39/2/18, 1110 Wien, Austria, research dated 22 Feb 2001. Her transcription says her name is "Ha/eblau". I would have to see this myself to know for sure. When I was there, it looked like Hobl. A relative in Ausria who gave me the same information, must have seen the same thing.
-- Hobl is surname in records of Kasten parish. Researcher Blaschek found an Anna Maria Schönsleben married in Pyhra, and who was a daughter of Michael Schönsleben and Theresia Hobl/Kögl. This would be a good thing to check for verification of mother's surname. I also found this marriage information for them on the Pyhra index, which is microfilmed and in Salt Lake in the FHL. Also, her son, Anton's marriage record in Kasten, in notes area, says that his birth certificate was obtained from Pyhra parish, and that his father, Michael, lived in Pyhra. That they were from Pyhra is undeniable. Then in the Pyhra christening index, also on microfilm, there are two children: Anna Maria and Anton Schönsleben, children of Michael Schönsleben and Theresia KÖGL. This is too much to be a coincidence, and must refer to the same family -- SRE, 6 Aug 2002.

OCCUPATION: Bauer = Farmer.

LOG/NOTES:
-- Not sure where Gottlesberg is. Was this transcribed correctly? The two families that Martina Gamper, researcher, thought might be correct - Hössinger (same name, but no Joseph born) and Hösslinger (surname different, but a Joseph born about the right time - were not listed as being from this locality, though, so be careful -- SRE, 28 May 2003.
-- Just found something very interesting out. In Genealogisches Ortsverzeichnis Österreich, I found a "Gottleitsberg" in St. Christophen, and the only possibility in the area. Try going back in Christophen -- SRE, 28 May 2003.
-- Researcher Martina Gamper, in report of 28 May 2003, reported that there was a Hössinger family in Dogl (who didn't have any Josef) and a Hössl(!)inger family from Unterwolfsbach, who did have a Josef. That Josef was born in 1769, however, seven years before the calculated birth date from our actual Josef's marriage record, so this is pretty unlikely.
-- In Diözesanarchiv 8 Sep 2003. In index, no Josef Hössinger as late as I needed. Am checking now 1775-1777, to see if there might be something there. There was a Joseph Hahringer b. 19 Dec 1777, parenets Anton and wife Anna Maria Pänrin? from Teuchthof, Pf. Ollersbach.
-- Looked for his birth in Böheimkirchen from 1760-1784. Nix, SRE 9 Sep 2003.
— Checked for this person in indexes for baptism and marriage books 1/2 and 2/2 respectively, of Michelbach parish, which both run from 1722 to 1784. Found nothing, SRE - 10 Sep 2003.

Anna Maria FLIESSER

B $Kasten books.

LOG/NOTES:
-- This is an extract of a marriage register from Ollersbach parish in a research report from Martina Gamper, 21 May 2003. It raises the question of whether the Maria Anna Fliesserin could be a sister to our Anna Maria Fliesserin. Very interesting and also quite likely. This possible sister lists as parents Anton Fliesser and Theresia Bayler (dau. of Joseph Bayler and Anna Maria at Oberndorf). Since our Anna Maria Fliesser's marriage doesn't list parents, check this out carefully. Maria Anna would have been born in 1776, and our Anna Maria from her calculated birth year at marriage, would have been 1777, so very close together:

Trauungsbuch tom. IV (1785-1820) fol 23
1810 den 13. Feber
Bräutigam: Mathias Hössinger, Witt. vorm. Und Hausmann zu Nolpenberg, Pf. Pu(c)her; Haus: Nolzenberg No. 2, kath. 58 Jahre
Braut: Maria Anna Fliesserin geborene des Anton Fliesserin Bauer zu Oberndorf ux. Theresia geborene des Jos. Bayler zu Oberndorf ux. Anna Maria, Haus: Oberndorf No. 2, katholisch 34 Jahre, unverehelicht
Zunächst dachte ich, bei diesem Eintrag handelt es sich um die Anna Maria Fließer verh. Hössinger, allerdings würde dafür das Alter nicht stimmen. Es könnte vielleicht eine Schwester von Anna Maria sein.

The only problem is that in the birth records of Fliesser children, we don't have any record of either of these two (born in 1776 and 1777), though there are four other children listed. From the report of Martina Gamper:

"[She appears to have mistaken this one with ours, who would have been born later]
Anna Maria Fliesser:
Tom. 1,2,3/3 (1759-1783) fol.27
17. Aprilis 1768
Anna Maria fil. leg.
Parentes: Anthoni Fliesser, Hausmann zu Oberndorff ux. Theresia geborene Koglerin

Ich konnte ebenfalls einige ihrer Geschwister entdecken:
Tom. 1,2,3/3 (1759-1783) fol.53
29. Septembris 1773
Theresia, fil. leg.
Parentes: Antoni Fließer, Haußmann ux. Thersia geborene Koglerin

Tom. 1,2,3/3 (1759-1783) fol.19
6.November 1765
Catharina fil. leg.
Parentes: Anthoni Fließer, Hausmann zu Oberndorff ux. Theresia

Tom. 1,2,3/3 (1759-1783) fol.12
6.Februari 1764
Anna Maria fil. leg.
Parentes: Anthoni Fließer, Hausmann zu Oberndorff ux. Theresia"

In any case, it seems very likely that these are the parents of children in the four birth entries and the two marriage entries. The one problem is that in Maria Anna's marriage, it mentions Anton Fliesser and Theresia Bayler as the parents, but in the birth entries of Anton's children, it lists Anton Fliesser and Theresia Kogler [SEE NOTE BELOW UNDER 26 AUG 2003. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN SOLVED:] as the parents. Not sure what to do except check surrounding parishes and check will for Anton Fliesser. Is it possible that the Anton listed in both is the same person, but the Theresia's are different? Or that Theresia was known by two names (i.e., a maiden name, and a second married name)? But the thing that really shows us that our Anna Maria Fliesser is a sister to Maria Anna Fliesser (md. 1810) is that they are both listed as coming from the same house: Oberndorf 2. For now, I am adding the family (with a "challenged" parent link for Anna Maria), along with an explanation of the problem of the 2 (or 1?) Theresia's -- SRE, 28 May 2003.
-- NEW NEWS from researcher -- Report from Inge Höferl, Max-Jellinek Gasse 1/10/3, 1210 Wien, tel.: 011-43-1-954-5852, FAX (same), 26 Aug 2003 says "Ich habe noch einmal die Heiratseingragungen der Anna Maria Fliesser und Maria Anna Fliesser herausgesucht. = "I checked the marriage entries once again for Anna Maria Fliesser and Maria Anna Fliesser. With the second entry, marriage book 4, p. 23 is written: Bride Maria Anna Fliesserin, born to anton Fliesser, farmer at Oberndorf 2, and wife Theresia, born to Jos. KOGLER (not Bayler). The age of the Fliesser daughters in the marriage entries doesn't agree with the birth entries of the Fliesser-Kogler family. I believe, however, that they are the right persons, and in the marriage entries, the age is not correct. It actually surprised me, that in the marriage of Anna Maria with Joseph Hössinger no marriage exemption was in the entry. At 20 years old, a bride was not of age yet, and had to get from her father or guardian a declaration of consent. For the the brides of all marriage entries of other brides they were there." This is most interesting and important. Something else I found: a discrepancy in the first child of Anton and Theresia as far as the order of names. I'll include the note I made in the first child's notes: "-- Report from Inge Höferl, Max-Jellinek Gasse 1/10/3, 1210 Wien, tel.: 011-43-1-954-5852, FAX (same), 26 Aug 2003 says that instead of "Anna Maria", the name was "Maria Anna". Since this researcher has been more accurate than the former, I am changing the entry from "Anna Maria" to "Maria Anna". SRE, 26 Aug 2003." If this is true (i.e., that the first child was Maria Anna), then it seems more than coincidental that a Maria Anna and an Anna Maria were born twice in this family (but no reference to deaths of the first two (which may be something worth checking later), and that a Maria Anna and an Anna Maria both got married, even though there were discrepancies in age. But then there were irregularities with Anna Maria's marriage (i.e., marriage at 20, but with no declaration of consent for exemption). It seems strange that there would be two sets of Anna Maria's and Maria Anna's in the same family. Definitely check deaths in Ollersbach, if have time. I think it likely that the two sets of siblings could be merged. In any case, it would seem to be true that our Anna Maria's parents are Anton Fliesser and Theresia Kogler, regardless of whether we have her actual birth record or not, since we know Maria Anna's parents (from her marriage), and we have addresses of both girls being identical (both from marriage entries). Check also Anton Fliesser's and Theresia Kogler marriage contract at the Landesarchiv to verifiy this. Also of note from this research is that first researcher insisted that BAYLER was the surname of Theresia, as listed in her daughter, Maria Anna's marriage. However Inge says that BAYLER is definitely not correct, but KOGLER, which would then agree with the children's birth entries again. The correct set of parents is listed, and probably there are duplicate sets of siblings that should be merged -- SRE, 26 Aug 2003.

Anton HÖSSINGER

LOG/NOTES:
From research report of Martina Gamper, 21 May 2003, date listed as 8 Jan 1804. Research by Inge Höferl 26 Aug 2003 shows birth date as 8 Jan 1802, with a child Joseph born 3 May 1802. This could be a problem -- SRE, 26 Aug 2003.

Anton FLIESSER

LOG/NOTES:
-- This must be our direct-line ancestor, though there have been an interesting conflict. There are four children listed as born to them in parish registers (births), though there are many gaps. There is a Fliesser, Maria Anna, married (though not in birth register) later, but which almost lists same parents. Instead of Anton Fliesser and Theresia Kogler, as with birth records, parents listed are Anton Fliesser and Theresia Bayler. May or may not be the same set of parents. Our Anna Maria Fliesser doesn't list parents' names in the marriage record, unfortunately. Check surrounding parishes for births of other kids. Check especially wills and other records, which might list Anton's family and mention our Anna Maria Fliesser as a daughter. Check death records in Ollersbach, since there seem to have been at least two Anna Maria's before our Anna Maria. Also, there was a Maria Anna. Fill as many gaps as possible. The one very positive piece of evidence we have is that Maria Anna's and Anna Maria's marriage records both say they are from Oberndorf 2, the same house, and Maria Anna's marriage record gives her parentage, so they would very likely have been sisters. I am assuming they are siblings, and that the others are too, though we need to make sure about whether Theresia Kogler and Theresia Bayler are the same or different (or even whether Anton Fliesser associated with both of the Theresia's are the same person or different) -- SRE, 28 May 2003.
-- This is no longer a problem. See notes of this person's wife and daughter Anna Maria. Anton Fliesser and Theresia Kogler are the correct parents of our ancestor -- SRE, 26 Aug 2003.
-- Research further back on this family (also Kogler). Martina Gamper recommends, in her research report of 21 May 2003, "Ich hoffe diese Nachforschungen können Ihnen zunächst weiterhelfen. Ich denke weitere Forschungen in Ollersbach wären ohne weiteres möglich und es könnte zu den Familien „Hössinger bzw. Höslinger“ und „Fliesser“ zusätzliches Material gefunden werden." She believes that further work on the Hössinger and Fliesser families can be done. (Note that Hössinger (Höslinger) is actually Hössinger from St. Christophen, and not either of the two families she found in Ollersbach, but Fliesser would be good to follow back.)
-- In Ollersbach parish records, checked marriages back to 1727, but couldn't find anything. for this marriage. Things went very fast, however, and it should perhaps be checked again, SRE - 9 Sep 2003.
-- Also still need to splice the two Anna Maria's together, as well as the two Maria Anna's. They are definitely the same pair, SRE 10 Sep 2003.
— Checked for this person in indexes for baptism and marriage books 1/2 and 2/2 respectively, of Michelbach parish, which both run from 1722 to 1784. Found nothing, SRE - 10 Sep 2003.

OCCUPATION: Bauer = Farmer.

Theresia KOGLER

LOG/NOTES:
-- The one problem is that in Maria Anna's marriage record, it mentions Anton Fliesser and Theresia Bayler as the parents, but in the birth entries of Anton's children, it lists Anton Fliesser and Theresia Kogler as the parents. Or that Theresia was known by two names (i.e., a maiden name, and a second married name)? -- SRE, 28 May 2003.
-- THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN SOLVED. A second and more accurate researcher has checked and found out that indeed, Theresia KOGLER, not BAYLER, was the mother listed in Maria Anna's marriage record (see notes of this person's daughter, Anna Maria -- SRE, 26 Aug 2003.
-- Checked biths from 1735-1744 in Ollersbach parish. Johannes Kogler found born 28 nov 1738, parents Ulrich and Anna Maria from Haidahoff. They could also be parents of Theresia, but no way to tell yet. Had to search very fast, and didn't have an index, so it was a pain. I don't know if I trust my work there. Having someone do it methodically would be the best option.
-- Checked for marriage in Böheimkirchen. Nix, SRE, 9 Sep 2003.
-- Should check Ollersbach parish registers from about 1744 to 1747 (book has no index), SRE 9 Sep 2003.
