Philipp PÖCHLER

M!Diözesanarchiv St.Pölten
Stift Lilienfeld?

B $Kasten books.
RESESARCH NOTE: NO MAR OF PÖCHLER'S 1650-1690, NO BIRTHS SAME PERIOD.

LOG/NOTES:
-- The parish in Stift Lilienfeld has records beginning 1670, so may not be helpful if this is our parish. Parish web site is www.8ung.at/kirche. -- SRE, 26 Oct 2002.
-- Checked the FHL and found that they had parish registers for Lilienfeld. I checked births for Maria Pöchler around 1670 and after, or any other Pöchler families about this time. Found only one family, but was not Philipp. No Maria Pöchler births found. Could be from a neighboring parish? Perhaps the family was just reported as being from there, because they moved to there from another place. Also, it could be that Maria was the last child born to Philipp there, and that she was born before the records begin in 1670. Found one Pichler in marriage index 1673 on for a few years -- SRE, 18 May 2003.
-- Possibly found marriage on p. 445 of v. 1,2,3/2 for Böheimkirchen in 1665, but can't find kids, so can't really say for sure if it's right, espcially since our information shows that at least he comes from Stift Lilienfeld. Checking for a Maria Pöchler/Pichler. Didn't find any Pichler births after marriage of parents in volume 1,2,3/2, whic ends in 1669. Will try later one for Maria. Did actually find an Anna Maria, but she was born the year before parents' marriage, and had wrong father. THere is a bad time (1670-1672), where records are missing. We've had estimated birth dates for direct-line ancestors right on this date - almost all of them, unfortunately. In next volume, 1673-, there is a Maria botn to Simon, other later ones born to wrong father. Checked to 1686, found nothing. Checked earlier book for Böheimkirchen, but found nothing (marriages 1650-74?), SRE - 10 Sep 2003.

-- Probably the same person as Johann Georg Stainböck in misc. file with approximate birth date of 1747 and living at Überland #5 and married to Barbara Platzer. I'm splicing them together, since this looks fairly sure, but still should be re-verified -- SRE 25 Sep 2002.

Jakub KŮDRLIČKA

B Parish records at SOAT. Apparently, so far, cannot find SP on the card. B, E, and SS found on one card w/o SP!

NOTE: IS IT A MISTAKE THAT HE IS FROM PŘEDOTICE, ČIŽOVÁ AND HE IS FROM ČIŽOVÁ, ČIŽOVÁ? He was married in Předotice, Čížová parish, though.

NOTES:
-- He was a "šafáře" = steward.
-- Is it possible they had other children before these, from another locality? - 21 Oct 2000
-- For that locality, check Horní Zahori (or Zahori Horní), where this person`s wife`s relatives apparently came from.
-- The archivist only searched 1755-1762 for marriage of Jakub to Veronika. Since 1755 is the approximated marriage date, it is EXTREMELY likely, that they were actually married before this, so still check Čížová for marriage earlier than this (wife was actually listed as coming from Drhovle (Čížová parish) in some children`s birth records - 21 Oct 2000.
-- Check parish registers later for marriages of children; these may tell where they originally came from (esp. his family, since we probably know where her family came from). Since his daughter appears in the marriages, but not in the births for Čížová parish, this is very probable, if the family can`t be found in Čížová.

RESIDENCE: He lived at Čížová č. 12 at death. Also lived in Brloh, Bošovice, possibly Předotice.

Veronika ŽÁKOVÁ

B Parish records from SOAT.

LOG/NOTES:
-- This may be a key to where her family comes from, although it is definitley not a sure bet. In the birth entry of her child František Dominik, it says about the witnesses, "testes Jan Tlucžka mlynář Veronika Zákova z Držova, Magdalena Paustkova z Voníkova, Testor ego Curatus loci." This indicates that someone by the same name as this person was a witness. She could have been, but was not likely, a sister. It is possible that she could have been a more distant relative, such as a cousin, as well, but it seems even more likely to have been her mother, listed as being from Drzov Horní Zahori parish (parish records start 1657) in Písek district. This parish didn`t belong to a previous parish. The entry of the next child, though (Jacob), says "...testes Franc. Reichl Pisek, Weronica Zákova, Magdalena Paustkova ex Wonikow." This is a bit open-ended. It could either mean Veronika was also from Wonikow (as was M.P.) or it wasn`t mentioning where she was from. Entry of a subsequent child, Jakub Vácslav, says "testes Wences. Zák ambo Wonokovio..." which may be indication of this person`s father or other relative, Václav Zák, and he was listed as from Wonikow, which Pfarrortelexikon lists as actually being Horni Zahori (Zahori Horni). This is evidently where her family comes from. If she can not be located in Čížová parish, check Zahori Horní. Birth entry of child Veronika says, "patrini: lev Zákova Veronica Drzovio"; for child Vácslav, "Patrini: Thomas Zák, rusticus Drzovio."
-- Check Zahori Horní parish for their marriage.

RESIDENCE: She lived at Čížová č. 12 at death. Also lived in Brloh, Bošovice, possibly Předotice (see note under residence of husband). In kid`s births, it says she is from Drhovle.

-- Checked Horní Záhorí for her birth, but was unable to find. But did find family. The one family with Paul Žák as head, and living on Vrcovice I connected her to. There was a gap perfect for her to fit into, as well. Her calculated birth year was 1737, and she had siblings born 1735 and 1739 with a gap in between. There is also another gap, am trying to find now, which is 1744-1748. Am searching line by line for Veronika's birth. Have searched Apr 1735 to Sep 1738. She must have been baptized elsewhere, SRE 15 Sep 2003.

Pavel ŽÁK

-- There are some interesting problems with this. There are several Paul's having kids (from marriage of Veronika we don't know name of her mother), but there are only two having kids around the time Veronika's calculated birth is (by the way, even though I couldnt't find Veronika in the index, there is a gap between 1735 and 1739, so she could fit nicely in there). One is from the place she is supposed to be from in her marriage, Vrcovice, the other from Vlastec (he only shows as having 1 kid from 1739, Voršila of Pavel and Anna p. 109 of Vlastec). It must be the one from Vrcovice. There is also a Paul and Marianna having kids about ten years earlier at the latest (they stop having kids in 1727), and live in Držova. I think we've pretty much nailed this one. Do a line-by-line after you put this family together, to double-check, SRE 15 Sep 2003.

-- Searched line by line in marriage records 1733-1734 in v. 3, and in v. 2, BMD were combined. I looked for his marriage, from 1732 going back to the beginning of 1727, but found nothing. I'll have to give this line up, unless I can find something. I'll try to check for Paul's born about 1708. If I only find one, or not much conflict, I'll go for it. Couldn't find one going back to 1785, SRE 15 Sep 2003.

Václav MATURA

B Parish records from SOAT. He is recorded in IGI w/birth year of abt. 1754.
Ord SP Also done 6 Sep 1996 PROVO and 9 Jul 1996, but once found real names of parents, redid.

OCCUPATION: Chalupník (cottager).

RESIDENCE: Šamonice č. 4.

-- Did find a Václav Matura born to Jakob Matura, but it was several years later than expected, based on his age at death. He did live to be very old, 95 years, if correct. However, this would put him 20 years younger than his wife. This combined with the fact that there was actually found a Václav Matura born to a Jakub Matura at about the time he should have been born to be married to his wife, and in the village he was supposed to have been from make me want to connect him with this family. I'm changing the Calculated birth age for 1711 to 16 Sep 1728. I hope this is not inaccurate, but I see no other possibility. I have also added the mother's name, SRE 16 Sep 2003.

Matěj ELIÁŠ

RESIDENCE: Brloh.

NOTES:
-- Is this a Jewish line?

-- Had his name from his daughter's marriage, most likely, and though didn't find a daughter, Anna, there was a Matěj and Dorota having kids in this village and at the right time, so this must be correct, SRE 16 Sep 2003.
-- There is a Matěj Elias with wife Markéta having kids in 1713 and earlier, whereas no more Matěj and Dorota. Could he have married twice, or are there two families? I think they must be the same person, but have other research done to see if this might be correct, e.g., see if first wife died and he was married (as widower) shortly thereafter, SRE 16 Sep 2003.
