The Herald Journal, 04/04/03 Helen Larsen Edwards, 87, passed away after a brief illness, in Boise, Idaho, on April 1, 2003.She was born Dec. 22, 1915, in Whitney, Idaho, to Almartin Larsen and Ellen Frances Comish. She attended school in Preston, Idaho, and graduated from Preston High School. She married Edwin Clarence "Casey" Edwards in the Logan Temple Sept. 28, 1932. They spent 48 years together before Casey's death in 1980. They lived in Preston until 1942 when they moved to Logan, Utah. Helen and Casey enjoyed many happy years as members of a square dance club. They traveled to several cities and states making a lot of long-term friends. Helen was an Avon lady for many years, and because she did not drive a car, she would walk to visit friends and customers. Helen has a rich family history with grandparents and parents being some of the first settlers in Cache Valley, Utah and Idaho. Helen enjoyed her callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as Primary president, Primary teacher, visiting teacher and as a dance director. She loved dancing and had a great sense of rhythm. She always hummed and sang songs as she worked in her home caring for her children. Helen and Casey had 10 children: four sons and six daughters. She is survived by one son, Michael (Carol) Edwards, Logan, Utah; and five daughters, Fran "Tup" (Jerry) Fackrell, River Heights, Utah, Sharon (Rich) Andrus, St. George, Utah, Tamra Dixon, Layton, Utah, Marky (Paul) Dicks, Spokane, Wash., Vickie (Cordell) Hansen, Boise, Idaho; and one sister, Essie (Earl) Johnson, Boise, Idaho. She is also survived by 33 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sons, Ted, Doug and Jack Edwards; a daughter, Lanea; a granddaughter, Karrie Hadfield; two sons-in-law, Jerry Fackrell and Keith Naylor; and six brothers and four sisters. Services are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary on April 5 with a viewing in the mortuary, 34 E. Center Street, Logan, from 10 to 11 a.m. and graveside services at the Whitney, Idaho Cemetery at noon.".
